GM Fernando Peralta wins rapid tournament in Olot

The 16th Obert d’Escacs Ciutat d’Olot was held on 26th July at the Casino Olotí in Olot, Spain.

The 9-round Swiss event with the time control 15′+5” was organized by the Club d’Escacs Olot and gathered 90 participants.

Grandmaster Fernando Peralta from Argentina emerged clear winner with 8,0/9 points to claim the top prize of 400 EUR.

Open International de Martigny 2015

The 24th Open International de Martigny is taking place from 31st July to 3rd August at the Hotel Vatel in Martigny, Switzerland.

The tournament is organized by the Cercle de l’Echiquier de Martigny and supported by Commune de Martigny, Etat du Valais, Fonds du sport and Hôtel Vatel Martigny.

The playing format is 7-round Swiss with the time control 90′+30”. The top prizes are CHF 1500, 1000, 800, 600, 400.

HZ Chess Tournament 2015 LIVE!

The 2015 HZ Chess Tournament is taking place from August 1-8, at the University of Applied Sciences in Vlissingen, in the Netherlands.

The event is a 9-round Swiss FIDE tournament that gathers 243 players from 16 different federations.

Top seed is former World champion GM Rustam Kasimdzhanov (2704) of Uzbekistan.

Czech Open 2015 LIVE!

The 26th Czech Open 2015 International Chess and Games Festival is taking place from July 24 through August 1, in Pardubice, a city in the Czech Republic.

The event is a 9-round Swiss tournament with tempo of play 90′/40 + 30′ + 30″.

289 players from 35 different countries take part in the event, including 34 GMs. Top seed is GM Viktor Laznicka (2657).

26th Czech Open 2015 takes place in Pardubice

The Czech Open 2015 International chess and games festival takes place from July 16 to August 2, 2015, in Pardubice, Tipsport arena.

Many chess tournaments took place in Pardubice during the last week. One of the most important and star-studded was rapid chess tournament, in which also very strong chess players took part.

Pavel Smirnov clear first in Primorsky Debut in Vladivostok

Primorsky Debut, a stage in the Cup of Russia, was held from 21-29th July, 2015, at the DVFU campus in Vladivostok.

57 players, including 11 Grandmasters competed in the 9-round Swiss tournament.
