The 5th Marathon International Rapid Chess Tournament will be held on 7th-8th June, 2014 at Mega Mall Rabat in Rabat, the capital and the fifth largest city of Morocco, situated on the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the river Bou Regrer.
The event will be played in 21 rounds with a time control 5 minutes per player. It will be traditionally strong, with many Grandmasters and a special participation of GM Viswanathan Anand – the challenger for Carlsen’s crown.
The organizers provide a simultaneous exhibition, given by Viswanathan Anand and the 2012 World Junior champion GM Alexander Ipatov on 8th June.
