The 5th Marathon International Rapid Chess Tournament will be held on 7th-8th June, 2014 at Mega Mall Rabat in Rabat, the capital and the fifth largest city of Morocco, situated on the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the river Bou Regrer.
It will be a traditionally strong event, with many Grandmasters and a special participation of GM Viswanathan Anand - the challenger for Carlsen’s crown.
The 21 round Blitz Swiss with a time control 5 minutes per player is starting on 7th June at 10:00 CET. Top seed is GM Loek Van Wely.
