Abhimanyu Mishra is already a record holder – the youngest IM in the world. In 2016, on May 30th, Mishra Abhimanyu became the youngest International master at the age of 10 years, 9 months and 3 days, 17 days faster than Indian prodigy Praggnanandhaa. Mishra is also the youngest National Master, having earned the title at 7 years, 6 months, and 22 days, breaking the record of Awonder Liang (more National Masters coming – Tami Adewumi is a National Master at 10) His quest for the youngest GM holder position has extra merit, having in mind the ongoing Covid19 pandemic and postponement of many over-the-board events.
