GM Ivan Saric claims Croatian Chess Championship 2022

The Croatian National Chess Championship 2022 took place from November 28 – December 9 at Hotel Pax, Split. It was a 12-player round-robin tournament with a total prize fund of 10.000 euros.

GM Ivan Saric won the event scoring 7.5 points. After a loss in the first round, Saric left unbeaten and clinched his fourth national champion title. GM Ante Brkic, GM Marin Bosiocic and GM Zoran Jovanovic tied for second with 6.5 points, each, with tiebreak criteria favoring Ante Brkic who won silver and Marin Bosiocic who claimed bronze.
