The 33rd edition of St. Veit Open 2014 took place from 5th to 12th July 2014, in Sankt Veit, Austria.
The event was a 9 round Swiss Open with a time control 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game plus 30 seconds increment starting from move 1.
Croatian GM Marin Bosiocic emerged a clear winner, collecting 7,5/9 points. He grabbed the top prize of 1.000 € + Jacques Lemans watch (500 €).
Second place was shared by GM Matthew Turner (Slovenia) and IM Helmut Kummer (Austria) on 6,5/9 points each, a full point behind of the champion.
