Chinese Open and Women’s Chess Championships 2021 simultaneously took place Xinghua Jiangsu, being played from May 7- May 15. Both events were played in a single round-robin format, within 11 rounds, with tempo of play 90′ + 30″.
GM Yu Yangyi, GM Wei Yi and GM Li Di tied for the top of Open section scoring 7 points, each, but tiebreak decided that Yu Yangyi claims the title of the Chinese National Champion 2021! Wei Yi came second, while Li Di was third.
