After the successful organization in 2014 of seven (7) workshops for the training of the International Arbiters, in which more than 180 Arbiters participated, FIDE and FIDE Arbiters’ Commission are going to continue the training of the Arbiters by organizing Refreshing Courses on Internet.
The following subjects will be discussed in these Refreshing Courses:
(a) The changes of the Laws of Chess that have been in effect since 1 July 2014.
(b) The changes of FIDE Titles, Ratings Regulations and Swiss System regulations that have been in effect since 1 July 2014.
(c) The Anti cheating regulations that will be in effect soon.
The courses will last for three days, with one evening session of three (3) hours per day and will be in English, Russian, French, Spanish and Arabic languages.
The participation will be free for all International and FIDE Arbiters.
The course in Russian language will be held in the period 22-24 October 2014, 15.00 – 18.00 hours, Moscow time, every day.
The lecturer will be IA Ashot Vardapetian (ARM), Chairman of the FIDE Rules Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Technical Organizer will be IA Michail Prevenios (GRE).
