Johan-Sebastian Christiansen won the Scottish Championship Open 2025 with a perfect 9,0/9! Johan-Sebastian Christiansen started as top seeded in the field and won every single game of the event, adding 8,5 elo along the way to cross the 2650 elo mark.

Johan-Sebastian Christiansen is currently 86th in the Top 100 players list and is the second highest rated Norwegian after Magnus Carlsen. Scoring 9,0/9 is a Norwegian tradition this year, after Carlsen scored 9,0/9 and scored a record at Grenke Chess.
