Maxime Vachier-Lagrave vs Alireza Firouzja, Sinquefield Cup 2022 R9 LIVE

After yesterday’s victory over Wesley So, Alireza Firouzja overtook the lead in the Sinquefield Cup 2022 and he is now a heavy favorite to become the Winner of the 2022 Grand Chess Tour. Firouzja ties for the first place with Fabiano Caruana and Ian Nepomniachtchi, but Caruana doesn’t play the last round as he was paired with Magnus Carlsen who withdrew from the event. Firouzja will have black pieces against Maxime Vachier-Lagrave in the last round of the Sinquefield Cup 2022 and in yesterday’s post-game interview, Alireza said: “I still have a very big game tomorrow against Maxime, so it will be very interesting”.
