India’s boy wonder Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa is the Winner of the Norway Chess Open 2022. After an outstanding performance in his last event – Chessable Masters where Pragg defeated Magnus Carlsen and Anish Giri, the 16-year-old today lifts the trophy of the 2022 Norway Chess Open.
Praggnanandhaa scored unbeaten 7.5/9 points to be the sole Winner of the event, emerging on the top with a full point advantage over the runner-ups IM Marsel Efroimski and IM Jung Min Seo. Efroimski and Seo tied for the second place with 6.5 points, each, but Marsel had better tiebreaks to claim silver while Jung Min Seo came third. With the second place on the overall standings, Marsel Efroimski was the best-ranked woman player in the event. (scroll down for final rankings)
