The Slovenian National Women’s Team Chess Championship 2022 took place over two weekends in May, being played from 13-15 and 21-22 May at the Grand Hotel in Rogaska Slatina.
The second top seed according to the average rating of players – team of Tajfun Ljubljana Chess Club clinched gold with the perfect score of 10 match points and 14/15 board points. (scroll down for the final rankings)
The composition of the Slovenian Women’s Team Champions:
1. IM Laura Unuk,
2. WIM Zala Urh,
3. WIM Teja Vidic and
4. WFM Petra Kejzar.
Celjski Chess Club claimed silver with 7 match points while the top seeded Maribor Poligram came third with 6 match points.
The event was played as a 5 rounds round robin tournament, with teams being composed of three main boards and reserve players. Time control was: 90 minutes for 40 moves, plus 30 minutes till the end of the game, with an increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from the move one.
