The 31st edition of the TePe Sigeman & Co Chess Tournament will take place in Malmö, Sweden, from May 1 to 7, 2026. This prestigious annual event, organized by Limhamns SK, brings together eight elite players for a single round-robin classical tournament at the Elite Plaza Hotel in central Malmö. It promises to be one of the strongest editions in recent years, highlighted by the participation of World No. 1 Magnus Carlsen, who is making a rare appearance in a closed classical round-robin.
The confirmed players are Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Nodirbek Abdusattorov (Uzbekistan), Arjun Erigaisi (India), Jorden van Foreest (Netherlands), Yağız Kaan Erdoğmuş (Türkiye), Nils Grandelius (Sweden), Andy Woodward (USA), and Zhu Jiner (China).
