The World Youth Chess Championship 2024 is scheduled to take place in Floripa, Brazil, 28 October – 10 November. The event will be for U14, U16, and U18 categories, boys and girls respectively.
The venue of the event is Hotel Canasvieiras IN, Florianópolis (SC) – Brazil. The tournament will be played using the Swiss System with 11 rounds. The rate of play will be in accordance with the FIDE rules: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves plus 30 minutes to rest of the game, with an addition of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.
The deadline for registration is September 2nd, 2024. After this date, the organizers reserve the right to refuse or decline late registrations
