The 2nd Kolkata International Grandmasters Chess Tournament is taking place from 15-24th March at the Indian Council For Cultural Relations, 9A Ho Chi Minh Sarani, Kolkata-71, India.
Top seed Grandmaster Nigel Short, India’s Surya Shekhar Ganguly and Lu Shenglei of China drew their 8th round games and now with 6.5 points each are jointly leading the LIC 2nd International Kolkata Chess Championship.
One more round is yet to be played and the Championship title is wide open with six players just behind the leaders within half a point.
