The 16th International Chess Festival Aeroflot Chess Open 2018 will be held in Moscow from February 19 to March 2, 2018. The Organizers of the destival are the “Aeroflot-Russian Airlines”, the Russian Chess Federation and the Association of Chess Federations and once again venue of the event is hotel “Cosmos”.
This time the festival has the guaranteed prize fund amounting to EUR 140 000 (taking into account the prizes for the Blitz Tournament).
Three Open Tournaments (A, B and C) will be held according to the rating of the participants, all of them are 9-round Swiss events. The A tournament requires a rating above 2550 and is expecting high class players. Top seeds players so far are GM Nikita Vitiugov, GM Dmitry Andreikin, GM Vladislav Artemiev, GM Evgeny Najer, GM Krishnah Sasikiran, GM Gata Kamsky, GM Gabriel Sargissian, GM Alexander Motylev.
Live games with analysis will be provided daily on Chessdom by the best chess software competing in the Top Chess Engine Championship – Komodo, Houdini, and Stockfish.
