The Armenian Chess Federation is organizing an international open chess tournament, dedicated to the memory of GM Karen Asrian, which will take place on June 15-25, 2015, in the prominent resort town of Jermuk.

All interested chess players can participate in the 9-round Swiss tournament. GM Karen Grigoryan was the winner of the 7th Asrian Memorial.

The Georgian Chess Federation organized the 2015 edition of the 72nd Georgian Individual Chess Championship for women from 10th to 19th January, 2015, in Tbilisi, the capital and largest city of Georgia.

The 75th Armenian Men’s Championship and 70th Armenian Women’s Championship were held from 12-21st January at the Central Chess Club “Tigran Petrosian” in Yerevan.

Both events were 10-player round robins.

The Jersey Chess Federation announces the Polar Capital Jersey International Chess Tournament which will be held on 15-20th March, 2015, in St Clement Bay, Jersey.

The event consists of three tournaments: Open Tournament, Holiday Tournament and Nautilus Jersey Blitz Championship.

Sponsors of the event are Polar Capital, Jersey Tourism, the One Foundation and Nautilus Trust Limited. The Official venue is the Hotel Ambassadeur.

The 6th Annual Golden State Open was held over the Martin Luther King weekend from January 16-19, 2015, at the Holiday Inn Dublin-Pleasanton, 6680 Regional St, Dublin, California.

The Open Chess Tournament Paracin 2015 took place from 15th to 19th January, 2015, in Paracin, Serbia.

The event was a 7-round Swiss tournament with time control 90′ + 30″.
