The event is a 9-round Swiss Open with prize fund in the amount of 1.210.000 RUB (nearly 22.000 €).

The Italian GM Sabino Brunello and Bulgarian GM Kiril Georgiev take the lead in the 2nd International Open Chess Tournament “Durres 2014″, which is organized by the Albanian Chess Federation on 1-8th November 2014 in the Conference Hall of the 4-star Hotel “Bleart”**** near the splendid city of Durres, Albania.

The 21st category super-tournament Tigran Petrosian Memorial, sponsored by Tashir Group, will be held on 3-11th November at the Hotel Novotel Moscow City. Chairman of the organizing committee is the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. The prize fund is 100 000 euros.
