The 2016 Serpukhov Rapid tournament was held on 22nd February in Serpukhov, Moscow Oblast, Russia.

The 7-round Swiss tournament with the time control 10′+5” was organized by the Serpukhov City Administration and Moscow Oblast Chess Federation.

Former world championship candidate GM Dmitry Andreikin took a clear first place with 6,5/7 points.
