The 2015 International Alcossebre Masters Chess Tournament is taking place from December 16-20, in Alcossebre, a seaside village, located on the Costa del Azahar, Spain.

The event is a 10 player single round-robin tournament with tempo of play 90′ + 30″.

The 7th Penang Heritage City International Chess Open 2015 is taking place from December 7-12, at RedRock Hotel, in Penang, Malaysia.

The event is a 9-round Swiss open with tempo of play 90 + 30″.

A total of 119 players from 17 different countries take part in the open tournament. Top seed is GM Dimitri Komarov (2519).
