World Youth Championship 2015 – Boys U14

The FIDE World Youth Chess Championship 2015 – Boys U14 is taking place in Porto Carras, Halkidiki, Greece, from 24th October through 6th November 2015.

The event is an 11-round Swiss open tournament for boys U14. Iranian player IM Amin Tabatabaei (2488) heads the field of 187 participants from 80 different countries.

The event is an 11-round Swiss open tournament for boys U16. Italian player IM Francesco Rambaldi (2547) heads the field of 157 participants from 74 different countries, including 5 IMs and 33 FMs.

The FIDE World Youth Chess Championship 2015 – Boys U18 is taking place in Porto Carras, Halkidiki, Greece, from 24th October through 6th November 2015.

The event is an 11-round Swiss open tournament for boys U18. Indian player GM Suri Vaibhav (2561) heads the field of 117 participants from 72 different countries, including 2 GMs and 11 IMs.

SPICE Cup Open 2015 LIVE!

The 2015 SPICE Cup Open, sponsored by Webster University and the Susan Polgar Foundation, is taking place on 17-22nd October at the Crowne Plaza Clayton Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

The 9-round Swiss tournament is open to the players rated over 2100 FIDE and will provide opportunity for GM/IM norms. Time Control: G/90 + 30 second increment from move 1.

The total prize fund is $15,000 guaranteed.

SPICE Cup 2015 – Participants

The 2015 SPICE Cup Open, sponsored by Webster University and the Susan Polgar Foundation, is scheduled to take place on 17-22nd October at the Crowne Plaza Clayton Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

The 9-round Swiss tournament is open to the players rated over 2100 FIDE and will provide opportunity for GM/IM norms. Time Control: G/90 + 30 second increment from move 1.

The event is a 7-round Swiss team championship, played according to FIDE and ECU rules.

The time control is 90′X40 moves + 30′ + 30″, while the default time is 15′.
