The 2025 US Chess Championship will take place in Saint Louis, October 12 to October 25, 2025. It is the most prestigious closed chess events in the country, and it will crown the national champion. The US Chess Championship is also among the top events of The Chess Calendar and the North America Chess Calendar.

The sixth round was played today at the European Team Chess Championship 2025, and Ukraine and Poland kept their sole lead in the Open and Women’s sections (respectively).

Kasparov vs Anand match took place in Saint Louis, October 7 – October 11, 2025. Organized by the Saint Louis Chess Club, it marked the renovation and reopening of the club. The 5th IPCA European Individual Chess Championship 2025 will take place from October 11 to October 17 in Ostrava, Czech Republic. It is a 9-round Swiss system tournament with a time control of 90 min + 30 sec/move. 2025 Maritime Chess Championship is going to take place October 11 – October 13 in Canada. Organized by Fred McKim, the event has collected 50 players from Canada, Germany, Mexico, USA, and France. The participants include IM Mark Plotkin (CAN), FM Adam Dorrance (CAN), IM Tangi Migot (FRA), IM Mike Ivanov (CAN), FM Calix Marchand (CAN), CM Dzmitry Kalinin (CAN), WFM Cindy Qiao (CAN), WFM Michelle Zhang (CAN), etc.

The European Team Chess Championship 2025 will be held in Batumi, Georgia, from 4 to 15 October 2025. The event is the most important team competition in the European Chess Calendar, part of The Chess Calendar

The Campeonato Nacional Superior (Perú) 2025 will take place from October 8 to October 11 in Lima, Peru. This tournament is separated into 2 categories – Absoluto and Feminino.
