Goutham Krishna H had a historical first day at the World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship. He defeated Aleksandar Indjic, Chithambaram VR. Aravindh, Teimour Radjabov, then drew with Giri and Grischuk to share the 6th position with 4,0/5 after day 1.
