Swiss Youth Championship U10 – U16 – LIVE

The Swiss Youth Championship is a 7-round Swiss system tournament taking place in Olten, Switzerland, between May 26th and May 29th 2023. Four sections will be broadcasted live: U16 / U14 / U12 / U10 .

10th Cherry Blossom Classic Open – LIVE

The 10th Cherry Blossom Classic will take place from 24-29 May 2023 in Dulles, Virginia, USA. The tournament has prize fund of 12 000 USD – 4000 for the winner. The time control is 90 minutes for the entire game with a 30-second increment beginning from move 1. The tournament system is 9-round Swiss and top five rated players are Illya Nyzhnyk, Vasif Durarbayli, Mikhail Al. Antipov, John M Burke and Semen Khanin.

U18 German Championship – LIVE

The German Youth Individual Championship with its 700+ participants is Germany’s major youth championship for individuals, organized by the “Deutsche Schachjugend” (DSJ) in Willingen, Sauerland. Players compete in age groups under-10 through under-18 open/boys and girls tournaments (10 tournaments in all). In the under-10 groups players receive 75 minutes for 40 moves, then 15 minutes for the rest of the game plus 30 seconds per move starting from move one, and play 11 rounds in all.

U16 German Championship – LIVE

The German Youth Individual Championship with its 700+ participants is Germany’s major youth championship for individuals, organized by the “Deutsche Schachjugend” (DSJ) in Willingen, Sauerland. Players compete in age groups under-10 through under-18 open/boys and girls tournaments (10 tournaments in all). In the under-10 groups players receive 75 minutes for 40 moves, then 15 minutes for the rest of the game plus 30 seconds per move starting from move one, and play 11 rounds in all.

Norway Chess 2023

Norway Chess is a 10-player round-robin featuring Top 5 stars Magnus Carlsen, Alireza Firouzja and Hikaru Nakamura taking place in Stavanger, Norway from 30 May to 9 June. Each of the 9 rounds consists of a classical game where a win is worth 2 points and a loss 0. If the players draw they play an Armageddon game, where the winner earns 1.5 points and the loser 1 point. No draw offers are allowed before move 30. The classical time control is 2 hours for all moves, with a 10-second increment per move only after move 40.

23rd Dubai Open B – Participants

The 23rd Dubai Open is a 9-round Swiss tournament taking place from 27 May to 4 June 2023 in Dubai, UAE. Players receive 90 minutes for the entire game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. The top ten rated players in B section of the tournament are Sedrani Ammar, Alexandra Zherebtsova, Stefan-Emilian Prisacaru, Ahmed Abdulsattar A Abdulwahhab, Abubaker Tagelsir, Aram Chekh Adm Khedr, Mohamed Alyeldin, Maxim Gavrilov, R S Kalugampitiya and Kevin George Micheal.
