The 2023 National Elementary (K-6) Championship is a 7-round Swiss system tournament to decide the American Elementary School champions. There K-1, K-3, K-5 and K-6 sections. The event will take place at the Baltimore convention center from 12-14 May 2023. and will be with participation of Alexander Soll, Nathan Yan, Aditeya Das, Jesse Han, Gabe Bencosme-Lee, Rohan Rajaram, Wesley Luo, Nathan Bolkhovitinov, Andrew Du, Nitesh Cherukuri, Oscar Williams, Ameya Rajeev, Alvin Lou, Arjun Soni, Takki Tanaka, Aiden Liu, Ethan Guo, Ella Li, Mila Antonios, Krishna Rallabandi, etc.

The Icelandic Championship is taking place from 15–25 May 2023 in Hafnarfjordur, Iceland. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. It is a 12-player round-robin tournament with participation of Hjorvar Steinn Gretarsson, Hannes Stefansson, Henrik Danielsen, Vignir Vatnar Stefansson, Johann Hjartarson, Bragi Thorfinnsson, Gudmundur Kjartansson, Hilmir Freyr Heimisson, Dagur Ragnarsson, Aleksandr Domalchuk-Jonasson, Lenka Ptacnikova and Johann Ingvason.
