The FIDE World Youth Chess Championship 2015 – Open U16 is taking place in Porto Carras, Halkidiki, Greece, from 24th October through 6th November 2015.

The event is an 11-round Swiss open tournament U16. Italian player IM Francesco Rambaldi (2547) heads the field of 157 participants from 74 different countries, including 5 IMs and 33 FMs.

The 31st European Club Cup and the 20th European Club Cup for Women finished last night in Skopje, FYR Macedonia, with the closing ceremony held in hotel Aleksandar Palace.

The Latin American and World chess elite is called from Monday on in Bilbao to compete for the Ibero-American and the final of the Grand Slam Masters championship.

Bilbao Chess 2015, held from the 26th of October and the 3rd of November, gathers four of the top ten chess players in the world for the Masters Final.

The Italian Stock Exchange in collaboration with FIDE Skills Management Committee organizes the Trading Online Expo during the conference on Chess & Finance.

The meeting will take place on 23rd October from 9:45 at the Glass Cube, Palazzo Mezzanotte, in Milan, Italy.

A FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar is going to be organized from 25 to 28 February 2016 in Podgorica, Montenegro, by the Montenegro Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

At the FIDE Congress in Abu Dhabi the FIDE Ethics Commission found that Garry Kasparov and Ignatius Leong were guilty for breaching par 2.1 of FIDE Code of Ethics.

From 7 to 11 October 2015 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Agadir, Morocco, by the Royal Morocco Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Arab Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Anezi Tower Hotel in Agadir.

The lecturer was IA Mahdi Abdulrahim (UAE), Councilor of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Akkour Abdelfattah (MAR).

The lectures were in Arabic language with translation in French.
