TCEC Special event FRC (Fischer Random Chess) has just started.

England’s team captain GM Peter Wells has announced the board order for the Open Team at the Chess Olympiad in Tromso, Norway:

The 42nd Greek Team Chess Championship 2014 is taking place from 28th June to 3rd July, 2014, at the Porto Rio Hotel, situated near Patras, a historical city in northern Peloponnese, Greece.

32 teams will by vying in a 7 round Swiss format.

HMC Den Bosch – Elite Cup is a 4 player Blitz Tournament, taking part on 28th June, 2014 in the town of Rosmalen, in the Netherlands.

The 5th tournament of the FIDE Women’s Grand-Prix 2013-2014 is taking place from 18th June to 2nd July in Lopota, Georgia.

Twelve players compete in the round robin tournament. The event is organized by the Georgian Ministry of Sport and Youth, FIDE and Georgian Chess Federation, and sponsored by SOCAR.

The Youth Club Cup: HMC Den Bosch – De Toren Arnhem is held on 28th June, 2014, in the town of Rosmalen, in the Netherlands.

The ICCD World Deaf Team Championship – Chess Olympiad 2014 took place from 18th to 28th June, 2014, at the Congress Center of the Grand Hotel Adriatic in the Croatian pearl Opatija.

The 2nd Jaen Chess Festival is taking place from 28th June to 2nd July, 2014 in the Andalusian city of Jaen, Spain.

The event is a 9 round Swiss with a total of 64 players from 5 different countries, including 4 GMs 7 IMs and 3 FMs.

Top seed is Bulgarian GM Alexander Delchev, winner of the 5th International Chess Festival Forni di Sopra 2014.

The European School Chess Championships 2014 were held from 13th to 27th June, 2014 in the beautiful city of Kavala, situated on the Bay of Kavala in the northern Greece.

The event was open to school chess champions in categories OPEN U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, U17/ GIRLS U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, U17. The format of every Section was a 9 round Swiss, except Girls U17 Group, where 11 players competed in a round-robin tournament.
