The five-round Swiss tournament, held at the Graduate Hotel in Iowa City, saw Nakamura deliver a flawless 5.0/5 performance, further solidifying his path toward qualifying for the prestigious event that determines the challenger for the World Chess Championship.

Abhimanyu Mishra enters the FIDE top 100

Abhimanyu Mishra is now officially a FIDE top 100 player. The young US talent, who in 2021 became the youngest GM in chess history, is now at 2633.2 elo at 93rd position in the world.

Mishra has also gone up the junior standings and is now 7th, ahead of Pranav, Gurel, Mendoca, and Pranesh.
