The 102nd British Chess Championship is held from 25th July to 8th August, 2015, in the University of Warwick, Coventry CV4 7AL,

The event is an 11-round Swiss FIDE tournament with tempo of play 90′/40 + 30′ + 30″.

The recent winner of the 9th Leiden Open 2015, GM David Howell, will be defending the title in a competition of 74 players.

The 4th “Lviv Tradition” chess tournament is taking place from July 27, through August 1, 2015, at the Hotel Nton, in the splendid city of Lviv, situated in western Ukraine.

The event is a 10-player round-robin tournament, valid for FIDE rating and norms. The average Elo rating is 2230.

The 14th International Chess Festival Condom 2015 took place from 11-18th July, at the Salle Pierre de Montesquiou, in Condom, France.

Every year an IM-tournament is organized to provide the young French players with norm opportunities.

This time, FM Tangi Migot was near to achieve his third norm while he needed ony a draw in the last round. Unfortunately, he lost against IM Sergey Grishchenko.

Grandmaster Julio Granda Zuniga from Peru repeated the last year’s success and emerged convincing winner of the 33rd Open Andorra Hotel St.Gothard that was held from 18-26th July in Andorra.

Granda Zuniga completed the event with 8,0/9 points, staying half a point clear from the 2013-winner GM Andrey Vovk.

The 7th Qualifier tournament of the FIDE Online Juniors World Blitz Championship was held on July, 23, 2015 on the 

The 2015 Quebec Open was merged with the International Championships of French-speaking countries (AIDEF Championships) and held from 17-25th July at the Hotel Delta in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

All players associated with an AIDEF country (Association Internationale des Echecs Francophones), including Canada and USA, were eligible to participate.

The main Championship section attracted 152 players from 15 federations, including 11 Grandmasters and 9 International Masters.

The 8th Open Internacional Ajedrez Poble de Montserrat was organized by the Club Escacs Montserrat and Ajuntament de Montserrat on 25th July in Major. Montserrat, Spain.

The 7-round Swiss event with the time control 7′+3” gathered 91 participants.

Grandmaster James Plaskett cruised through the competition to take the top prize with perfect 7/7 score.

The 3rd Annual Sinquefield Cup is taking place from August 22 – September 3, 2015, at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis (CCSCSL).

The 5th Gibraltar Junior International Chess Festival is set to take place from 20-25th August, 2015, at the Caleta Hotel, venue of the famous Tradewise Gibraltar Chess Festival.
