European Women’s Chess Championship 2025

The 24th European Women’s Chess Championship will take place from 30 March to 12 April 2025 in Rhodes, Greece.

The event is open to all women players representing national federations listed as ECU members, without rating or title limitations. The Championship will be played in 11 rounds, swiss system, with time control of 90 minutes for 40 moves, plus 30 minutes until the end of the game, with 30-second increment for each move starting from move one. The official hotel and the playing venue of the event is *****Rodos Palace Conference Hotel.

WR Chess Masters 2024 – pairings

The world’s top chess players battle it out at the WR Chess Masters 2024. In an iconic five-star location, 16 of the brightest stars of our sport will gather to compete for the title in an innovative format. The tournament will be played as a knockout, the time control for each game is 60 min for the first 30 moves, 30 min for the next 20 moves and 30 min for the rest of the game. WR Chess Masters Cup 2024 LIVE

The world’s top chess players battle it out at the WR Chess Masters Cup! In an iconic five-star location, 16 of the brightest stars of our sport will gather to compete for the title in an innovative format. The tournament will be played as a knockout, two games a day with a fast time control.

The WR Chess Masters Cup is set to take place from October 14th to 18th, 2024, at the prestigious Langham Hotel in London. As the second edition of the WR Chess Masters series, this event will feature 16 elite players competing in a knockout tournament.

GM Venkataraman Karthik is the winner of Tsaghkadzor Chess 2024

The Tsaghkadzor Chess Open 2024,held from September 30 to October 6 in Armenia, has concluded in victory for GM Venkataraman Karthik. After 9 rounds of Swiss, the Indian GM scored 7.5 points, a full point ahead of the other competitors on the podium – GMs Igor Lysij and Erik Hakobyan.

48th Guernsey International Chess Festival Open Preview

The 48th edition of the Guernsay International Chess Festival is being held from October 13 to October 19 on the eponymous island in the English Channel. The Open portion of the festival features 31 players who will play 7 rounds of Swiss. The top players at the event include GM Keith Arkell, WGM Katarzyna Toma, WFM Olivia Smith, Gunnar Johnsen, FM Philip Giulian, Norbert Krueger and CM Peter Kirby. GM Giga Quparadze claims Georgia Chess Champions Cup 2024

The winner of the Georgia Chess Champions Cup 2024 is GM Giga Quparadze. GM Quparadze competed with 29 other players and secured victory with a near perfect 8.5 points out of 9. The top 3 is rounded out by GM Tornike Sanikidze with 7 points and FM Luka Kiladze with 6.5 points.
