One of the largest open events of this summer is going to take place in Barcelona. It will be the XXV Open Internacional de Sants – Ciutat de Barcelona and will feature 625 players. The tournament is not only massive, but also boasts strong participation, with the A group having 16 GMs and 140 titled players, coming from 52 countries!

Ukrainian young chess players have stormed through the European Youth Rapid Chess 2024, which took place 17-18 August in the Czech Republic. The Ukrainian youngsters won 4 golds, 6 silver, and 3 bronze to top the medals table of the championship. The second place is for Poland with 2 golds, 2 silvers, and 5 bronze medals, while third is Romania with 2 golds and 1 silver medal.
