Anand emerges as the sole leader of Norway Chess 2022

The 15th World Chess Champion Vishy Anand shines in the 2022 Norway Chess as he is the only player who managed to score in both classical games, choosing not to test himself in the Armageddon yet. Anand defeated Veselin Topalov in the second round and emerged as the event’s sole leader, achieving the maximum of 6 points.

German Chess Federation takes part in Pride Month aiming to support queer chess players #TweetOftheDay

The German Chess Federation decided to show its logo in rainbow colors during June, aiming to set a sign of acceptance of queer chess players. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month (LGBTQ+ Pride Month) is celebrated annually in June to honor the 1969 Stonewall riots, and works to achieve equal justice and equal opportunity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) Americans.

The English Chess Federation today announced the Teams for the upcoming 44th Chess Olympiad 2022 which starts in less than two months in Chennai, India.

The Chess Festival will take place from 19-26th June, 2022, at the Silver Lake “Sports hall” and “Great hall” of Danubia Park Hotel.

FIDE Candidates Chess 2022 LIVE

The FIDE Candidates Chess 2022 will take place in Madrid, from June 16 to July 7. It will be an 8-player double-round robin with some of the world’s top Grandmasters. The winner of the FIDE 2022 Candidates Chess Tournament will qualify for the World Championship match later this year, competing in 14 rounds against the reigning World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen.

European Chess Club Cup 2022

The 37th European Chess Club Cup and the 26th European Women’s Chess Club Cup will simultaneously take place from 2nd – 10th October in Mayrhofen, Austria.

GM Jeffery Xiong is the Winner of 31st Chicago Open

The 31st edition of the annual Chicago open took place from 26-30 May in Westin Chicago North Shore Hotel.

The event featured 8 tournaments being played in different rating categories: Open (for players rated 2200+ UCF), U2300, U2100, U1900, U1700, U1500, U1300 and U1000 and gathered more than 600 entries who fought for the total prize fund of 100.000$. 31st Chicago Open all information
