The Serbian Championship – Semi-final is a 9-round Swiss tournament taking place from 17–23 March 2022 in Paracin, Serbia. Four players will qualify for the Serbian Chess Championship 2022 which will be played in December 2022.

The City of Dresden, the Dresdner Schachfestival e.V. and the European Chess Federation (ECU) have the honour to invite all senior players throughout Europe to participate in the European Senior Team Chess Championship 2022 (categories 50+ and 65+) organised in Dresden (Germany) from 26th October (arrival) to 5th November 2022 (departure).

GM Pier Luigi Basso and GM Marin Bosiocic are the leaders of the 2° Festival di Primavera. They are tied at the top with perfect 3,0/3, followed by a group of ten players with 2,5/3. Today Bosiocic and Pier Luigi Basso meet on board one, with the white for the Croatian player.

The rapid and blitz championships of Romania for men and women took place 11-13 March in Bucharest. A total of 150+ players in the open section and 50 players in the women section competed over the board for the 2022 national titles.
