XXV International Open Feria De Las Flores was held from 3 to 7 August in Medelin, Colombia.
The tournament was divided in 3 sections. Group A over 2000, group B U200 and group C U14 years.
In Group A 91 players took part.

Japan Women Chess Championship was held from 4th to 5th Aug in Tokyo. The venue was Ikegami Kaikan.
The tournament was played using the Swiss System with 6 rounds, time control was 45 min + 30 sec. increment from move 1.

The circumstances around the election of FIDE President encourage me to address my colleagues with this letter.

There will be 3 categories U20, U16 and U 14.
