WR Chess Masters Cup 2024 LIVE

The world’s top chess players battle it out at the WR Chess Masters Cup! In an iconic five-star location, 16 of the brightest stars of our sport will gather to compete for the title in an innovative format. The tournament will be played as a knockout, two games a day with a fast time control.

The WR Chess Masters Cup is set to take place from October 14th to 18th, 2024, at the prestigious Langham Hotel in London. As the second edition of the WR Chess Masters series, this event will feature 16 elite players competing in a knockout tournament.

The Tsaghkadzor Chess Open 2024,held from September 30 to October 6 in Armenia, has concluded in victory for GM Venkataraman Karthik. After 9 rounds of Swiss, the Indian GM scored 7.5 points, a full point ahead of the other competitors on the podium – GMs Igor Lysij and Erik Hakobyan.

48th Guernsey International Chess Festival Open Preview

The 48th edition of the Guernsay International Chess Festival is being held from October 13 to October 19 on the eponymous island in the English Channel. The Open portion of the festival features 31 players who will play 7 rounds of Swiss. The top players at the event include GM Keith Arkell, WGM Katarzyna Toma, WFM Olivia Smith, Gunnar Johnsen, FM Philip Giulian, Norbert Krueger and CM Peter Kirby. The Croatian Team Chess Championship 2024 is being held from October 5 to October 12 in Veli Losinj, Croatia. There are more than 100 players in 10 teams competing in a round robin.
