World Team Chess 2013 LIVE!

The FIDE World Team Chess Championship is going to take place November 24th – December 6th in Antalya, Turkey. Participants are Armenia, Russia, USA, Germany, Turkey, Azerbaijan, China, Ukraine, Holland, and Egypt.
The tournament is a single round robin with games played daily at 15:00 local time (14:00 CET).

Blind Chess film receives plaudits at the World Chess Championship

Chennai, 21 Nov: A full house and an enthusiastic response greeted the award winning documentary Algorithms about young blind chess players from India, screened at the FIDE World Chess Championship on Thursday evening.

Directed by British filmmaker Ian McDonald and produced by Geetha J for the South Indian production house AkamPuram, Algorithms is the first ever feature documentary on blind chess.
