Chess Association of “Gilan” province on behalf of I.R. Iran Chess Federation has the honor to invite all players from national federations to participate in the 13th Khazar International Open Chess Tournaments from 11-18th February 2015 in Rasht city, Iran.

The tournament will take place at Yadegar Imam Sport Complex located in Golsar St, Rasht.

The 44th Rilton Chess Cup is taking place from 27th December 2014 to 5th January 2015 at Clarion Hotel Stockholm, in Stockholm, the capital and largest city of Sweden.

The event is a 9-round Swiss FIDE tournament open to all players with FIDE or national rating more than 2200 and first prize in the amount of 20.000 (nearly 2.100 €).

2014 National Chess Champion FM Andrew Kayonde has observed that Zambia has a lot of talent in chess going by its past and current performance but reiterated that more had to be done to expose the players and help them train ahead of big tournaments.

Zambian women chess poster girl Epah Tembo Jere was on Monday night conferred with the Woman International Master title for coming out joint second on points but third on tie-break at the just ended Africa Individual Chess Championships held in Windhoek, Namibia.

And Zambian chess players failed to win the top prizes at the just ended Africa Individual Chess Championships held in Namibia, Windhoek.

The registration for the 2015 Susan Polgar Foundation’s National Open Championship for Girls and Boys is officially opened. The participants are sincerely invited  to join the SPFNO on February 27th – March 1st, 2015 in San Mateo, California.
