Commission for Women’s Chess 2014 Sri Lanka FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar

The official opening ceremony of the FIDE World Chess Championship Match between the reigning champion Magnus Calsen (Norway) and the challenger and former World Champion Vishwanathan Anand (India) took place at the Congress Hall of the Radisson Blu hotel in Sochi on November 7th, 2014.

The first press conference of the Carlsen-Anand FIDE World Championship Match was held last night at the Radisson Blu Resort in the presence of World Champion Magnus Carlsen, former Champion and Challenger Viswanathan Anand, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, President of Russian Chess Federation Andrey Filatov, former World Champion Anatoly Karpov and match organizer Ilya Merenzon.
