Norway Chess 2014 LIVE!

The Norway Chess 2014 super-tournament is taking place from 2nd to 13th June, 2014 at the multiple Norwegian venues, including Aarbakke AS factory at Bryne, Vågen Videregående Skole in Sandnes and Scandic Hotel Stavanger Forus.

Some of the strongest Grandmasters in the world will be vying in a 10-player round robin with an impressive average rating of 2774!

Bosna Open – Round 2

The 44th International Chess Tournament “Bosna 2014″ is taking place from 30th May to 6th June, 2014, at the Hotel Radon Plaza, Sarajevo.

The event has two sections – Group A for players rated over 2300 and Group B for U2300 players.

GM Sebastian Bogner winner of Liechtenstein Open 2014

The 32nd International Chess Open in the Principality of Liechtenstein was held on 23-31st May, 2014, at the Gemeindesaal Triesen.

The tournament was organized under the patronage by S.D. Erbprinz Alois von und zu Liechtenstein.

There were two playing groups – Open and Senior, both held over 9 rounds of Swiss system.

International Chess Tournament Bosna 2014 – Participants

The 44th International Chess Tournament “Bosna 2014″ will be held in Sarajevo from 30th May to 6th June 2014. The playing venue will be in Hotel Radon Plaza, Sarajevo.

The total prize fund is 35,700 KM (national currency in Bosnia and Herzegovina) or cca 18,225 EUR.

The top prize in A tournament (for players rated over 2300) is cca 3.580 EUR, while first prize in B tournament (U2300) is cca 766 EUR.

The Open A has 46 players from 12 countries, including 20 Grandmasters.

China is double champion of the Asian Nations Cup 2014

Iran Chess FederationThe Asian Nations Cup for men and women took place from 20th to 30th May, 2014 in the city of Tabriz, Iran.

The event was open to all chess federations in FIDE zones 3.1 to 3.7.
