The famous Aeroflot Open is restarted in its classical format in 2015. The last classical event was held in 2012, while the 2013-tournament was played with short time controls.

The Aeroflot Open is taking place from 26th March to 5th April at the Cosmos Hotel in Moscow. The total prize fund is 140.000 Euro.

The FIDE Zone 4.1 Individual Championships 2015 are being organized by the Tunisian Chess Federation under the auspices of the African Chess Confederation (ACC) from 26-31st March in Hammamet, Tunisia.

All sections have either 3-day (March 27-29) or 2-day (March 28-29) schedules to play in.

The tournament format is 5-round Swiss with the time control 110′/40, plus 30′ until the end, plus 10” increment.

The event was 5-round Swiss with seven sections: Master, Expert, Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D and Class E.

The tie-breaks of the third round of the FIDE Women’s World Chess Championship were played in Sochi on March 25. Six players returned to the SCC Galactica to find out who advances to the Quarterfinals.
