The 8th International Chess Trophy Mohammed SEKKAT 2014 was organized on 17-21st November 2014 in Marakesh, the fourth largest city of Morocco.

The 28th Belgrade Trophy 2014 is taking place from 24th November to 2nd December 2014 at the Centar Balasevic Hotel***** in Belgrade, Serbia.

A FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar is going to be organized from 26 to 28 November 2014 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, by the African Chess Confederation, in cooperation with the Cameroon Chess Federation and under the auspice of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar will be Hotel AZUR, in Yaoundé.

The Lecturer will be IA Stephen Boyd (FRA), FIDE Lecturer.
The language of the Seminar will be French.
The Seminar will give norms and titles of FIDE Arbiter, according to the article 3.10 of the Regulations for the titles of Arbiters.

Magnus Carlsen is FIDE World Chess Champion 2014! He retained the title after defeating the challenger Viswanathan Anand 6,5 – 4,5 in a match played at the Winter Olympic City of Sochi.

A FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar is going to be organized from 2 to 4 December 2014 in Sauremo, Angola, by the Angola Chess Federation, in cooperation with the African Chess Union and under the auspices of FIDE.
