The Azerbaijan Women’s Championship is a 9-round Swiss open taking place in ACF in Baku from 18-26 February, 2018. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. Top seeded is WGM Ulviyya Fataliyeva.

7. Internationales Villach Open 2018 was held from 10 to 17 February in Vilach.
101 players took part in the tournament.

The 78th Noteboom Tournament is a 6-round Swiss tournament taking place from 16-18 February 2018 in Oegstgeest, Netherlands. Players receive 100 minutes for the entire game, plus a 10-second increment starting from move one. Tournament is divided in 3 sections. Top seeded players are GM Benjamin Bok, GM Predrag Nikolic etc…

The players for this years GRENKE Chess Classic were revealed. The tournament will be held from 31 March-09 April, 2018.

GM Third Saturday 66 was held from 11 to 16 February in Novi Sad.
It was 10 players round-robin.
The winner was IM Kaiqi Yang with 7 out of 9, who also made GM norm, followed by IM Zoran Runic with 6 points and IM Milos Stankovic with 5,5 points .
The B tournament was won by GM Miodrag Savic with 9 out of 9.

Abu Dhabi Chess Festival Committee has the honor of inviting the players to take part in a distinguished chess annual event, which consists of numerous FIDE registered tournaments. It will be held in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the UAE from 6th until 16rd of August, 2018.
