The Chess House GM tournament is a 10-player round-robin tournament taking place from 9-18 February 2018 in Aarhus, Denmark. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. No draws are allowed before move 30.

The 2018 Candidates Tournament will be played in Berlin on 10-28 March. The winner will get a chance to fight for the World Championship title against Magnus Carlsen this November in London.

GM Parham Maghsoodloo is the winner of 26th International Fajr Festival which was held from 3 to 10 February in Mazandaran – Amol.
Iranian GM won it with great result 7,5 out of 9, point clear from IM Amin Tabatabaei, GM Pavel Ponkratov and few more players with 6,5.

The strongest tournament ever held in Portugal, that gathered 272 chess players from 42 countries in the second pavilion of the Municipal Sports Complex of Vistoso Casal, in Lisbon.

9th international chess tournament Opal Open will be held from 09.02.-13.02 in Neustadt.

The tournament will be divided in 3 sections. Around 600 people are expected to take part in all sections. Top seeded players are GM Ferenc Berkes, GM Daniel Fridman, Daniel Sadzikowski, Jinshi Bai etc…
