FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Larnaca, Cyprus

ASEAN+ Age Group Championships – Vietnam are Overall Winners!

Vietnam are the overall champions of the 16th ASEAN+ Age-Group Championships 2015, a position they have held since the event started in Vietnam in 2000.

The country with the largest delegation won the most medals and the statistics are staggering. Vietnam’s 68 Golds are more than the second to eighth ranked countries combined and their total haul of 141 medals more than the rest combined!

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Singapore – Report

From 2 to 6 June 2015 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held in Singapore, organized by the Singapore Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the Seminar was IA Takis Nikolopoulos (GRE), Chairman of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Ignatius Leong (SIN), FIDE Lecturer.

The language of the Seminar was English.

ECU Board Meeting in Bucharest – Report

The Board meeting of the European Chess Union was held this weekend, 12-13 June, in the capital of Romania – the city of Bucharest.

The ECU Board meeting concluded with important decisions, which will be communicated by the next ECU Circular Letter.
