From 13 to 17 May 2015 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held in Esfahan, Iran, organized by the Esfahan Chess Association, in cooperation with the Iran Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the Seminar was IA Takis Nikolopoulos (GRE), Chairman of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh (IRI), Asian Chess federation Treasurer and FIDE Lecturer.

The language of the Seminar was English, with translation in to Persian.

Grandmaster Nikita Maiorov emerged clear winner of the Torneo Internazionale di Scacchi Tortoreto Lido that was held from 26th May to 2nd June in Villaggio Salinello, Italy.

Norway Chess is a super-tournament established in 2013 and traditionally held in the Stavanger region, Norway.

The first edition in 2013 was a round robin event with ten players. The games were played in various venues: Sandnes, Aarbakke factory (Bryne), Hidle and Stavanger.
