The African Individual Chess Championships for men and women took place from 2-10th May, 2015, in Cairo, the capital of Egypt and the second-largest city in Africa.

The EnterCard Scandinavian Masters is taking place from 10-15th May, 2015, in Oslo, the capital and largest city in Norway.

The event is a single round-robin tournament with the average FIDE rating of 2627.

From 6 to 10 April 2015 the 40th Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held, organized by the Chess IQ Academy (a FIDE Academy in USA) and under the auspices of FIDE.

FIDE has published the official list of titles approved by the 1st quarter Presidential Board meeting held in Chengdu, China on 27-28 April 2015.
