The Promotional U10 Tournament Ciutat de Barcelona 2014 is organized by the Catalonian Chess Federation and sponsored by Catalonia Hotels, the Barcelona City Hall and the Government (Generalitat) of Catalonia from 28th November to 2nd December 2014 in Hotel Catalonia, Eixample 1864, situated at Roger de Llúria Str., 60 (08009) in Barcelona, the second largest city in Spain.

After two rounds of the Qatar Masters Open being played here at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Doha, Grandmasters Anish Giri, Pentala Harikrishna, Robin Van Kampen and 11 others who won both round games are jointly leading on 2 points each.

The 2014 edition of Heusenstammer Schloss-Open was held on 20-23rd November 2014 at the Culture and Sports Center Mart Insee, in Heusenstamm, a town in Germany.

The event was organized under the patronage of Heusenstamm’s Mayor Peter Jakobya in a 7-round Swiss format with prize fund in the amount of 5.500 €.

The tournament is organized by the Russian Chess Federation in cooperation with the Charity Foundation Elena and Gennady Timchenko, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. The total prize fund is 118,000 EUR.

There shall be 6 categories; namely Under-07, Under-09 Under-11, Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 with separate events for Open and Girls.
