FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Yaounde, Cameroon

A FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar is going to be organized from 26 to 28 November 2014 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, by the African Chess Confederation, in cooperation with the Cameroon Chess Federation and under the auspice of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar will be Hotel AZUR, in Yaoundé.

The Lecturer will be IA Stephen Boyd (FRA), FIDE Lecturer.
The language of the Seminar will be French.
The Seminar will give norms and titles of FIDE Arbiter, according to the article 3.10 of the Regulations for the titles of Arbiters.

European Tourbullon Championship

The first European Tourbullon (Bughouse, Atomac) Championship was held on 16th November at Scacchistica Milanese in Milan, Italy.

The event was organized by the TIF. 23 teams with 46 players competed for the prize fund of 15,000 EUR.

The tournament was completed over two stages: 23-rounds of RR followed by knockout between top four teams.

After the round robin the team champion of the Czech Republic “Black Dragon” composed of Pavel Menčík and Jiří Jezbera took the first place.
