The European Youth Team Chess Championship 2025 will take place from 4th July to 12th July in Terme Čatež, Slovenia. The event will include four separate competitions, an open competition and a girl’s competition in both age categories U12 and U18. Each national federation member of the European Chess Union (ECU) has the right to enter up to four (4) teams of four (4) players and one (1) reserve in the open competitions and up to four (4) teams of two (2) female players and one (1) reserve in the girl competitions.

On June 16, the 2025 China-Africa Chess Friendship Tournament ended in Changsha, Hunan Province.

The 5th China Chess Rising Stars Tournament aka Rebecca Cup is taking place June 17 – June 22 in Jangsu Dongtai. It is a 9 round Swiss event with the participation of strong local players including Jiang Haochen (2450), CM Kaifan Xie (2446), Zhang Di (2446), Qingfeng Cao (2410), Hongchi Peng (2399), IM Yixing Wu (2385), Hongsen Chen (2377), IM Yueheng Jin (2364), Sunle Gong (2347), WIM Muziyan Gao (2315), Hongfu Dong (2314), Runyi Zhou (2301), Yuan Chen (2298), Zhi Zhang (2260), Jiaxiang Xie (2237), etc.

Uzchess Cup second edition will be a 10 player round robin with 2726 ELO average (according to the June rating list). Top seeded in the Masters section is Arjun Erigaisi who will be accompanied by his fellow countrymen Pragg and Aravindh. The local heroes on the board will be Abdusattorov, Sindarov, Yakubboev, and Vokhidov.

Chess Festival Cesis Open 2025 is taking place in Latvia.
