European Youth Team Chess Championship 2025 U12 participants

The European Youth Team Chess Championship 2025 will take place from 4th July to 12th July in Terme Čatež, Slovenia. The event will include four separate competitions, an open competition and a girl’s competition in both age categories U12 and U18. Each national federation member of the European Chess Union (ECU) has the right to enter up to four (4) teams of four (4) players and one (1) reserve in the open competitions and up to four (4) teams of two (2) female players and one (1) reserve in the girl competitions.

Zandanshatar Gombojav, the current President of the Mongolian Chess Federation, appointed prime minister. He won election by a vote of 108 to 9 in the 126-member parliament. The other nine members were absent. AP published an article saying, “Mongolia gets a new prime minister who pledged to address the economic demands of protesters” and notes, “His election appeared to mark the end of several weeks of political uncertainty in a still-young democracy of 3.4 million people that is sandwiched between much larger China and Russia.

Yuxu Zhou is the sole leader of Silver Lake Open 2025

After 4 rounds, CM Yuxu Zhou is the sole leader of Silver Lake Open 2025. The U16 young player has collected 3,5/4 and is half a point ahead of competition.

The 5th China Chess Rising Stars Tournament aka Rebecca Cup is taking place June 17 – June 22 in Jangsu Dongtai. UzChess Cup 2025 LIVE

Uzchess Cup second edition will be a 10 player round robin with 2726 ELO average (according to the June rating list). Top seeded in the Masters section is Arjun Erigaisi who will be accompanied by his fellow countrymen Pragg and Aravindh. The local heroes on the board will be Abdusattorov, Sindarov, Yakubboev, and Vokhidov.
