Aktobe Chess Open 2025 aka Vladimir Dvorkovich Memorial is going to take place June 22 – June 30 in Aktobe, Kazakhstan. Swiss youth and junior chess champions crowned

At the final tournament of the Swiss Youth Single Championship (SJEM) in Winterthur, the five titles went to Raphael Gut (U16), Colin Federer (U14), Marius Neuschild (U12), Grigorios Emmanouil Toumpakaris (U10) and David Sadeh (U8). FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Team 2025 LIVE

The FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Team Championships take place June 10-16, 2025, in London, United Kingdom. The World Rapid and Blitz Team Championships are back – with a record-breaking €500,000 prize fund. This is double the prize fund of Dusseldorf, which was €250,000, and more than Kazakhstan, which was €350,000.

Luca Magini wins WCF Challenge Malta

WCF Malta Rapid Challenge 2025 took place this weekend in La Valeta. It was a rapid competition, part of the WCF series. The Italian player Luca Magini was the surprise of the event, winning it ahead of the titled players. Magini finished with 6,0/9, the same points as Grandmaster Xavier Vila Gazquez (who recently won orneo de Ajedrez Vila de Santa Coloma de Queralt), but with a better tiebreak the Italian grabbed the gold.
